I want to be more active in my sports. How to get accepted by the football, basketball, soccer or wrestling team. Do you have to be talented to participate in these school activities? Or do you just sign up for it?
Just be VERY determined and NEVER NEVER quit doing your best! Goodluck(:

Wouldn’t it be best to let the individual colleges make this decision?
Who knows best who should play for Enormous State University than ESU?
If someone wants to give money to a college player, why should anyone care? What business is it of theirs?
The NCAA does what it’s members want. If a member doesn’t like it, it can leave and form it’s own. Simple enough for you?

Does your local community college have competitive sports teams, (meaning that they play other schools. Is this an appropriate role for a community college?
Yes, the college I’m going to has competitive sports team (cheer, basketball, flag-football, etc) and holds some champion titles. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be appropriate to have competitive sports teams. In fact, it doesn’t mean you’re studying at a higher level that you couldn’t be able to do sports. Of course I support sports in college and universities. Sports able some students to play at a pro level and get scholarship, it is good for health and you get to make new friends, learn life values, etc. Physical activity is important.

according to a recent article in yahoo sports by dan wetzel after villanova’s win over pitt, some schools have athletes that are not students. is it true? how does it happen with NCAA guidelines?
According to NCAA eligibility rules, you must be a student in order to compete in NCAA athletics. It is possible for some players who were either redshirted or just weren’t in athletics as a freshman, to have more years of eligibility left following graduation. If they want to continue to play, they must continue to take classes while they are playing. This isn’t really much of an issue, since I’m sure most schools will include extra classes in a players scholarship, should they be a good player and want them to keep playing.
