I have this theory that most people who care about sports are betting on games. Also, I’ve noticed that sports news is disappearing in general news sources. Are people starting to care less about pro sports?
I won’t answer to your question

I know they fluctuate, and that the casinos become more educated about the game/match the closer it gets to game time… Is it generally true that you get the best odd (chance of making the most money) if you wager when the bet becomes available. I.E. try to be the first person to bet on the line? Does the number of people betting on the line, or which way they are betting effect the line?
I’ll see if I can answer each one of these questions. Here goes.
Is it generally true that you get the best odd (chance of making the most money) if you wager when the bet becomes available. I.E. try to be the first person to bet on the line? Not necessarily, it really just depends how the odds match up with what you think they should be (i.e. is there value according to your numbers). You may get the best odds at any time, however professional gamblers will typically try to bet the initial odds/lines ASAP if they are finding value. On the other hand, you might find the best odds right before game time. I guess what I’m trying to say is that there’s not a certain "best time" to get the best odds since they will continue to fluctuate depending on the market, up until game time.
Does the number of people betting on the line, or which way they are betting effect the line? It’s not necessarily the number of people, but rather the amount of money and who’s betting it. Public money (squares) won’t effect the line nearly as much as sharp money/professionals. More public money coming in on one team will slowly move the line throughout the day while sharp action can move the line immediately.
I hope this somewhat answers your questions, but if you have more, you can always check out http://www.sports-betting-insights.com . There’s a ton of great sports betting advice there and we’re always writing new articles so be sure to sign up for the blog. Best of luck.

http://www.TheGuideBest.com/sports — How to Make Money Betting On Sports
The first step to begin betting is to have a means of doing so.
The next step is to decide which sports to bet on.
Most successful bettors will narrow down their selections.
Be sure to do plenty of research before placing a wager.
There are many good sites for doing such.
An important skill in wagering is to always carefully manage your bankroll.
The only way to make money is to consistently predict winners over a long period of time and minimize losses.

http://www.centsports.com/?opcode=360767
This is a website that lets you bet real money, without spending a dime. (The advertisers pay for the the money that you bet with.) You start with 10 cents, and every time you go back to 0, you get another 10 cents. Eventually you can turn that 10 cents into $1000’s, just like any other online betting website.
By inviting a friend to Cent Sports, you also make 5% of what they make, (NOT of their money).

I know using paypal directly on it’s site is illegal bu can i deposit cash into betting sites using a paypal debit card?
First off, Bodog sucks! Unless you like payouts/odds skewed even more toward the house, lines posted only an hour or two before gametime, and waiting 3-5 weeks for a payout!
Second, no you can’t use Paypal in the States for sports betting online. You can use a prepaid visa card, but only a handful work. There are other methods, like using eChecks, WU, etc. I’d recommend checking out the reviews of top listed sites at http://dagus-statistics.com/reviews where you’ll find additional tips on how to securely deposit and withdraw (i.e. which prepaid cards work, etc) and bonus codes to each site’s best bonus.
I’d start at any of the following A+ sites:
Bookmaker: http://dagus-statistics.com/bookmaker
Beted: http://dagus-statistics.com/beted
Intertops: http://dagus-statistics.com/intertops
But also check the reviews to get a better idea of which site suits you best. Good luck!

If you could go back in time and put money on one game, fight, race, series, match, etc. which would earn you the most money. For example, betting 100 bucks on the Warriors to beat Dallas in the 2007 NBA Playoffs would have earned you $1,400. I’m thinking the 2004 ALCS Red Sox over Yankees after being down 3 games, although I can’t find what odds the casinos were giving at that point.
note: no parlay bets
no, picking the giants would only have paid 3.25/1
