Going there at the end of the month and I want to blow most of my money on sports. Anyone know?
My favorite by far is Hilton. It is not as upscale as Caesars but if you bet big money and win, they won’t look at you like you are a wise guy like they do at Caesars. You won’t be here in time for football but they sometimes have decent nickel lines on Thursdays as well as for baseball.
When it comes to prop bets, they almost always have the most in town. They also have parlays but I don’t think they are great bets as a general rule.
The buffet next to the Hilton sports book is okay and better than the not so great cafe. They don’t have much in fine dining though so you are better off at Bellagio, Wynn and even Caesars for that.
If you just bet on the ponies, I like Wynn better because their chairs are nicer. If you only bet on baseball, any nickel shop will do but Hilton has nickel lines too. If you are here mostly to watch, Caesars and Bellagio are good for that. If you are the kind of guy who loves to middle and shop for the best lines, downtown is good with several different shops offering independent lines.
This website has a listing of sports books in Vegas and which ones are independent lines, etc. It’s also pretty good as an overall source of info on Vegas. Good Luck!
